The free boiler scheme has been getting inundated with applications since the weather has started to take a turn for the worst, there is only a limited amount of money available in the pot so we strongly recommend you to check if you qualify, before it is too late.

Free Boilers for Bradford Area

We’ve had information that there are still a good number of installers in the Bradford/Leeds area who have access to funding to complete the free boiler installations. If you have an old boiler which is 9+ years old, and you receive child tax credits, income support etc and have a low income (less than £15,860 per year) then you will qualify to have a new boiler installed in your home free of charge.

Can I get a free combi boiler?

If you already have a combo boiler in your home, then you could have a brand new A+ rated combo condensing boiler installed free of charge. You will also get updated heating controls (where necessary). The boiler grants do not cover the cost of initialling radiators and any other special works may require a top-up in order to complete. There are installers in Bradford who will be able to carry out a free assessment on your property and tell you what you can have for free thanks the the Governments Free Boiler Scheme.

Use the link on the right of your screen to see if you qualify.

Thanks,

The team!

What is the Free Boiler Scheme?

Under the ECO Scheme, in 2014, you could claim a 100% free boiler if you receive the correct type of income related benefits.

Do you receive:-

Child Tax Credits, Working Tax Credits, Pension Credit, Income Support, ESA, JSA?

Do you:-

Have a child under 16, under 20, receive a disability element, be in a work group or support component?

If you have some of the above, there is a high probability that you could have your old boiler replaced completely free of charge under the Governments free boiler scheme. If you have an old boiler, but its not broken, it’s still advisable that you take advantage of a scheme such as this because of the savings you will make on your energy bills. The free boiler scheme is exactly that, free. You do not re-pay the money back at any time and it is not a loan. It is a free boiler.

Combi boilers are very efficient, not only that, they are the most commonly installed boiler now across the country. But, what actually is a combi boiler and what differences are there compared to say, a standard system?

What’s a Combi Boiler?

Combi boilers, or combination boilers, are a space-saving unit which have revolutionised the way in which we generate hot water and heat within our homes. In a typical central heating system you would have a boiler on the wall, floor or behind your fire (back boiler). You would then have a separate hot water cylinder which would be located in the loft space or in your airing cupboard (big copper tank!). In order to get a large bath filled, you would need to heat up this whole tank of water with your boiler, whatever isn’t used is then wasted. Which is, well, a waste.

Combi boilers only generate what heat is needed. It’s a bit like a big kettle, when hot water/heat is needed, it turns itself on and generates what is required without wastage. Not only do they waste less energy, but because of the advances in technology, the heat is generated faster and much more efficiently. Combi boilers also save lots of space in your home and are aesthetically much more pleasing as everything is combined in to one single unit.

Can I get a Free Combi Boiler under the ECO Scheme?

If you fit the criteria which has been set by the governments, you could have a brand new, A rated combi boiler installed in to your home free of charge. There are installers up and down the country which are ‘Green Deal’ approved. This means they are qualified to survey your home, calculate its efficiency and move forward with the installation of your combi boiler.

To see if you qualify for a free combi boiler under the ECO Scheme, visit – www.boilergrants.org.uk

What is a Condensing Combi?

A condensing combi is a highly efficient version of, an already very efficient combi boiler. A condensing boiler takes the hot waste gas which would normally be lost of the flue and recycles it back through the system. This saves a lot of energy. A combi condensing boiler is the most efficient, standard heating system which can be installed in the UK today.
